🍎 The Big Apple

Greetings!

Hello again, friends…

Next week I’m getting ready for a fun little adventure, heading to New York City with my daughter-in-law on one of her brand trips. She’s an influencer, and I’ll be tagging along, learning a few tips and strategies from her world. I’m even challenging myself to travel with just a carry-on (first time ever!).

It’s a reminder that it’s never too late to try something new.

📖 Biking Tours

There’s something wonderfully freeing about exploring the world on two wheels—especially when the pace is relaxed and the scenery is stunning. Biking tours are a perfect blend of gentle exercise, fresh air, and unforgettable experiences, making them an ideal adventure for retirees who want to stay active and inspired.

  • Low-impact and heart-healthy – Biking keeps you moving without straining your joints, while boosting your cardiovascular fitness and mental clarity.
  • Incredible destinations await – Cruise through vineyard-covered hills, coastal trails, or charming historic towns with fellow adventurers.
  • Easily tailored to your style – From e-bikes to flat paths, short jaunts to multi-day journeys, there’s a ride to match every comfort level.

Whether you’re pedaling through Charleston’s shaded streets or sipping wine in Napa after a scenic ride, biking tours offer an enriching way to see the world up close. Add a dash of planning, a touch of curiosity, and you’ve got the makings of a truly joyful journey—no passport required.

📖 Adventure Travel

Adventure doesn’t retire when you do—in fact, this is the perfect time to explore boldly and travel deeper. With the freedom to go where you want, when you want, adventure travel becomes more than a trip—it’s a way to reignite purpose, joy, and connection in your retirement years.

  • Stay active, curious, and inspired – From safaris in South Africa to hikes in New Zealand, adventure travel keeps both body and mind engaged.
  • Travel your way (solo or in a group) – Explore at your pace with itineraries tailored to your comfort, energy, and interests.
  • Discover budget-friendly ways to roam – With senior discounts, travel rewards, and smart planning, you can stretch your travel dreams without stretching your wallet.

Adventure is out there—and now you have the time to embrace it. Whether you’re kayaking along Croatia’s coast or cycling through the tulip fields of the Netherlands, the world is full of unforgettable experiences waiting for you. So go ahead—say yes to the journey. This is your moment to explore, connect, and thrive

Learning to Travel Light (and Live Fully!)

This week, I’m doing something a little outside my comfort zone, I’m packing a carry-on and heading to New York City with my daughter-in-law. She’s an influencer and has been invited on a brand trip, and I’m lucky enough to join her! I’ll be her travel companion, yes, but also her eager student! I’m excited to learn her tips and strategies for creating content, traveling smart, and navigating partnerships. It’s a whole new world for me, and I love that there’s always something new to discover, no matter your age.

Packing light is new for me. I’ve always been a “just in case” kind of packer. But this time, it’s one small suitcase and whatever fits in it. That’s the challenge I’ve given myself, and who knows, maybe I’ll love it! This trip is already teaching me that trying something new (even something as simple as switching to a carry-on) can feel like a small act of freedom.

Looking ahead, my husband and I have big little plans for next year—we’re carving out time each month to take mini trips around the U.S. Nothing extravagant, just 4- to 7-day adventures to explore new places, meet interesting people, and soak up the beauty and variety of this country. We’ve talked about doing this for years, and now we’re making it happen. Because let’s be honest – there’s no guarantee of “someday.” We’ve got to make memories while we’re still young enough to hike that trail, climb that lighthouse, or wander a quirky downtown.

This week in New York is just the beginning, a reminder that it’s never too late to start exploring with fresh eyes and an open heart.
